About the Programme:

A one-year online programme specially designed for working professionals and field practitioners to bridge the knowledge-practice gap in disaster management. Extensive theoretical modules in linking Disasters to Development, GIS, Humanitarian Laws, Principles and Standards, Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster Response and Recovery. Highly engaged programme team to help guide you through the lessons and assignments, and faculty supervisors to guide you through your research paper.

Who Can Apply?

The programme is meant for a wide variety of learners/practitioners in disaster management globally. IFRC, National Society volunteers, the staff at all levels along with others interested in disaster management and humanitarian response should apply.

Entry Requirements:

Applicants should have at least a Second Class Bachelor’s Degree or it's overseas equivalent. Although each application is judged on its own merits and exceptions to this entry requirement may be made.

Applicants who do not have a Bachelor’s Degree or the overseas equivalent may apply if they demonstrate (via a personal statement) that they can communicate clearly, are highly motivated, and have experience of prior learning.
Candidates from developing countries and those working in the humanitarian field will receive priority. Up to 50 qualified participants will be selected to participate in each cohort.

Ability to work on a computer with a reasonable level of access to the Internet.

Fee information

Standard Program Fee (inclusive of tuition fee): USD 1980 (payable in instalments); IFRC and National Societies’ Participants: USD 990; TISS Alumni: USD 990.

A limited number of partial bursaries are offered on merit and means basis.
